Absolutely phenomenal vintage Maison Martin Margiela piece from Spring/Summer 1999. A re-use of his innovative technique first shown in Spring/Summer 1996 - Margiela photographed vintage garments, then took the negatives of those photos to create prints on fabric, giving a legendary effect. This one here displays a sequin trompe l'oeil illusion on slinky, fluid viscose. Iconic outwardly exposed elastic waistband in white. light a-line silhouette, with some stretch. Dress this one up or down, it's incredibly cool and very versatile.
